Given the current economic climate, there needs to be a local discussion about tackling youth employment, in Edmonton.
Consequently, Enfield Caribbean Connexions is having an online meeting on the 22 July 2021 to discuss how we can come together collectively to tackle the chronic youth unemployment in Edmonton.
The discussion also examined the lack of support for especially school leavers and developing a local strategy to ensure stubbornly high youth unemployment among black young people does not escalate similar to 2008 where 50% of young black males age 16 to 24 years were unemployed in 2008
